Legspinner Jafer Chohan joined Yorkshire on a one-year rookie contract for the 2023 season, after impressing as a net bowler during an England training session at Loughborough, where he dismissed both Joe Root and Ben Duckett. After a stint at the Middlesex Academy, Chohan earned his shot at county level through the South Asian Cricket Academy and a stint in the National Counties competition for Berkshire.
